Like a hidden gem, Lizkyung has been well-crafting her musicianship since she was just three years old. With the blend of her soulful yet angelic voice, she lays out the message of her life experience as a person who felt like an outsider and now embracing who she really is.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Lizkyung was raised on classical music and discovered Soul and K-R&B during her teenage years. Growing up with Adele, Beyoncé, H.E.R, Sam Kim and more, her music consists of mellow tones with notable R&B beats. Her love towards 90s music can also be heard in most of her tunes.
Lizkyung rediscovered her passion for music after long runs of supporting her immigrant family. She explains, "My family has made sacrifices coming to this country, it has given me opportunities that I never would have had in my home country. So, my motivation and passion is focused on making the most of the talent I have to show respect towards my family."
After several years of taking different approaches with her career path in music, she wrote, produced and recorded several tracks.
With her well-crafted skills and talents, she released her first single 'You Gotta Go' addressing her past and taking authority over it. Her lyrical honesty intertwined with a unique mix of instrumental layers invite her fans to explore her multiple layers of well established musicianship.
With two more singles to be released later on in the year, Lizkyung's tales will undoubtedly be the anthem of self reflection and self love.
